Our social responsibility extends beyond developing our line of ethical clothing and accessories. It is our intention to continue to give back to our community where we can. As part of our commitment to having a positive social impact, we regularly work with and support a number of charities.
This includes ongoing work with organisations such as the Great Barrier Reef Foundation and responding to national emergency efforts such as the 2019-2020 bushfires around Australia. We regularly donate product to Dress for Success, a charity which helps empower women to financial independence. We are also working to partner with Taronga Zoo, to be formalised in 2020.
Tithe Black Summer fires of 2019-2020 devastated regional communities around the nation. Oroton raised over $112,000 for state-based fire services across the country. The funds were donated to NSW Rural Fire Service, Victoria’s Country Fire Authority (CFA), Queensland Fire and Emergency Services (QFES), South Australian Country Fire Service (CFS) and the Department of Fire and Emergency Services (DFES) Western Australia. We also joined over 200 fashion, lifestyle, beauty and home brands, donating Oroton small leather goods such as bags, beauty cases, wallets, mirrors and coin purses to the KFE Market for Bushfire Relief.
