We are working to establish a clear framework for our responsible business objectives and practices. True sustainability in the fashion industry is challenging, and there are no clear standards to what this truly means. We are at the outset of our journey towards sustainability and we are exploring different options and innovations to reach our goals. Our plan is to release our sustainability policy in mid-2023.
Oroton makes quality, timeless products that we stand behind and we encourage our customers to prolong the life of each Oroton item, as mindful consumption is a key way to make a positive environmental impact.
There will always be more work to be done on our path to sustainability. Today, we’re focused on creating a production chain that improves social and environmental returns and enhances long-term investor value. This takes our people, planet and products into consideration. We aspire to minimise our environmental impact and encourage more conscious purchases.
PACKAGING RESPONSIBLY
We’ve introduced responsible packaging practices. In-store, our swing tags and shopping bags are made from 100% recycled materials, which are chemical free and use water-soluble dyes and our carry bags are recyclable Poly bags.
APCO COMMITMENT
We are a signatory to the Australian Packaging Covenant (APCO), committed to minimising the environmental impacts of packaging. We are currently compiling plastic and paper consumption information.
OUR CARBON OFF-SET JOURNEY
At Oroton we are finding ways to lessen our impact on the planet by beginning to off-set our carbon footprint. To do this, we allow our customers to contribute to one of three environmental and climate change projects.
